Disclaimer: These rules are subject to change whenever necessary, however anytime the rules are changed, a change-log will be posted in response to this thread. Loopholes are not to be used and common sense is to be used at all times.

If you have changes that you wish to see made to the server rules, please bring your suggestion to a Senior Team Member (Admin+). These changes will be addressed by the Upper Administration. High Staff have final say in discrepancies of the rules. These rules serve to protect you, the server and the community to ensure you have a great experience with us. Read them carefully before entering the game, you can return to them at any time by clicking on the link provided in #information on Discord.

By playing on Shadowfall Roleplay you agree to the following rules and guidelines, in breaching these rules you agree to be punished fairly as determined by our admins.

Before we jump into the rules, here are a few tips while playing:

Tips

  1. All players must abide by the rules, if you need assistance with a rule breaker or any other issue that requires a Staff Member, use the @ command. The @ command will send your message privately to any connected admins. ( E.g. in chat, “@ John is breaking NLR.”). Admins will not respond to requests via OOC chat.

  2. Any request must be properly formatted, “shouting” using All-Caps or poorly worded requests will be ignored, and may result in a kick if admins feel you are abusing the chat or Voice Chat.

  3. Before getting their rights, admins are carefully vetted. If you see an admin breaching these rules or abusing their powers as an admin, report it immediately on the Discord. Evidential videos are recommended.

  4. Admins have the final say if they believe you are in breach of these rules. They will try to be fair wherever possible, however if you have been permanently banned and wish to contest this ruling use the ban appeal system, and we will discuss your case.

General Rules

  1. The use of Cheats, Hacks or Glitch exploitation is strictly prohibited. We operate a zero-tolerance policy to cheaters. You will be banned permanently.

  2. Do not RDM also known as the golden rule: Don’t shoot another brother.

  3. Do not Metagame. Metagaming is correlating OOC information into IC.

  4. English must be used at all times in OOC.

  5. Bullying, Racism, Discriminatory or Defamatory language used against players, admins or any member of the community will result in a permanent ban.

  6. Do not FailRP. All situations should be handled in character.

  7. Do not randomly fire a weapon. You need an RP reason to fire it.

  8. Trolling is not acceptable.

  9. Do not mic spam, or play any type of micspam through Voice Chat.


Roleplay Rules

  1. You must listen to the highest ranking officer present, staying on task of their orders, unless you have an RP reason to disobey orders.

  2. Do not use /advert for non in Character matters, advert is a communication system/device.

  3. You can use /me to describe your actions in RP.

  4. If Jedi are fighting an Enemy, do not engage.

  5. Do not shoot another trooper, unless they have gone rogue.

  6. Do not attempt to break someone out of, nor break out of cuffs, without a valid RP Reason.

  7. This server abides by the NLR, a.k.a the New Life Rule.

  8. Promotions must be handled in-character and on the server {HC Are Exempt}.

  9. Weapons may not be dropped to other players who do not spawn with that specific weapon.

  10. You must salute anyone that holds the rank of Second LT+. and follow commands by anyone higher ranked than you.

  11. Do not use the Kill Command to commit suicide, it’s classed as FailRP.

  12. Should you provide a valid reason to an Admin, you may break some of these rules to enhance your and others RP experience. However there must be an admin online and aware.


Battalion & Character Rules

  1. Battalion Rules can change with their Commanders permission or Reg. Commander+ permission.

  2. Battalion changes must be coordinated with your Executive Officer and or Commanding Officer.

  3. Tryouts may only be held by SGT+, and they must be Sim Rooms below the base

  4. Battalions must request permission to deploy vehicles, and or heavy weaponry.

  5. Ships can only be spawned at the Landing Pads, and or Hangar Bays.

  6. Arrests may only be up to ten minutes upon entry to the brig.

  7. You may only use the Stun Gun if there is a valid reason.

  8. Take arrested Recruits to the training room, they need to be trained.

Event Rules

  1. Listen to the event specific briefing before the event starts.

  2. Do not fool around, stick to whoever is leading your group.

  3. If you do end up going Lone Wolf on a mission and not staying with the main group. You could either be 1. Considered a Rogue Clone and Killed. 2. Arrested or 3. Disqualified from the current Event.
